Did you know?

  • People are being told by medical providers that Fibromyalgia is not real.

  • Doctors feel like they are not knowledgable about treating Fibromyalgia.

  • People with Fibromyalgia can become disabled by the illness because no one is helping them effectively manage the illness.

Make a donation today to help us connect people with Fibro and physicians to the information and resources they need.

Help People With Fibromyalgia
This Giving Tuesday

My name is Sharon Waldrop. I am the president and founder of the Fibromyalgia Association. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1996 and one year later, I founded the Support & Education Group that grew into the Fibromyalgia Association. I have gone from bedridden to rock climbing and my success is due to Fibro education and resources. I have been on a mission to help other people with Fibro find help and healing. There is no cure for Fibro, but many people can live well with the illness with the right information and resources. This includes me as I am not symptom-free and work to manage the illness daily while living a life that I love. Will you join me this Giving Tuesday in supporting people with Fibromyalgia? Every donation makes a difference.

We understand the challenges faced by those with fibromyalgia, including the difficulty of finding knowledgeable healthcare providers and waiting an average of five years for a diagnosis which can lead to disability and unemployment. With your generous donations, we aim to enhance our efforts. Your contributions will help us launch new programs in 2025, designed to educate both patients and healthcare providers on the effective management of fibromyalgia. We invite you to be part of this cause and improve the lives of those affected by this condition. You also can make a donation in support of someone with Fibro. You can even gift a membership. Thanks for taking the time to consider this request.
