Comfort in a Box: Meaningful Gifts for Those with Fibromyalgia

No sponsorships here—just a few of my favorite things that bring comfort, smiles, and a little extra ease to Fibro life. Though if one of these is your company… we’re always happy to chat! ;)

Footwarmer - I love using this before bed—it’s part of my nightly wind-down ritual. Did you know that warming your feet before sleep can actually help your body relax and drift off more easily? (For some medical conditions, heat may not be recommended, so always check with your physician first.)

My exact one from last year is no longer available on Amazon, but this one looks like a very close match!

X-Large Shoulder Triggerpoint Pillow - Soothing heat for shoulders, abdomen, back—wherever you need it most! The gentle weight of this Mother Earth Pillows brand heat/cold pack is pure magic, too—giving your shoulders a comforting little “hug” when they’re feeling tight and overworked. Cozy relief, right on demand.

The Original CranioCradle®- helps relieve back and neck pain. My friend Fibromyalgia doctor, author, and patient Ginevra Liptan, MD, recommended this to me, and now I am a fan too!

Buckwheat Pillow - This is an absolute bedtime must for easing TMJ and neck pain. I’ve used buckwheat hull pillows for decades—they’re a non-negotiable part of my sleep routine, and I won’t travel even one night without one. I especially love the Pinetales pillows because the zipper makes it so easy to adjust the hulls for the perfect level of support. Members of our Support Group love them too!

Norwex Cleaning Cloths - Seriously—less muscle power, no harsh chemicals, and no stinky smells to trigger a flare. Cleaning mirrors and windows feels almost too easy! And don’t get me started on the household package—the mitt makes dusting car dashboards and blinds an absolute breeze. Who knew cleaning could feel this satisfying?

Audible Books - I’ve found that listening to audiobooks allows me to enjoy more books without the eye fatigue of traditional reading. I don’t have to stay in one position, and my comprehension is often better—especially on days when I’m not feeling my best.

A favorite book this year: Chronic Pain Reset by Dr. Afton Hassett - This easy-to-read, empowering book helps you better understand your pain and offers realistic, research-based strategies to reduce pain, improve sleep, and get back to the things you enjoy. I especially love the 30-day challenge included in the book—it’s a practical, step-by-step way to start making meaningful changes. Highly recommended!

Happy Holidays!! Sharon Waldrop, NBC-HWC, Fibromyalgia Association Founder, Board Certified Health Coach, and Person With Fibro.
